Senators Sworn In

Sen. Gary Simpson (R-Milford) is sworn in by Delaware Supreme Court Justice Randy Holland at a ceremony on Dec. 16, 2014 at Legislative Hall in Dover. He’s joined by his wife, Debbie (from left), granddaughter, Emi (obscured), daughter, Lindsay, grandson Ty, daughter, Abby, granddaughter, Reagan, son-in-law, Shane (holding granddaughter, Delaney), grandson, Easton, daughter, Andrea, and son-in-law, Rob (holding granddaughter, McKenna). Simpson represents the 18th Senatorial District. Because the special session marked the opening of the 148th General Assembly for the Senate, oaths of office had to be administered to members elected to new terms. Other members of the Senate Republican Caucus sworn in were: Sens. Greg Lavelle (Sharpley), Colin Bonini (Dover South), Ernie Lopez (Lewes), and newcomer Bryant Richardson (Seaford).
